I took my mother to this place after her family Dr. decided that he can no longer give her Percodan for her chronic pain. We were really turned off by my mother’s doctor and thought he might be thinking my mother was crazy! We went to this clinic after all because it was our last hope. My mother had several back surgeries, nerve blocks and nothing had worked, she could do nothing but staying in bed and taking pills, It turned out that she was addicted to narcotics and she had clinical depression. It took a little while … but she is off all narcotics and has got a second lease on life, up and about doing her gardening… thanks to Sunshine Behavioral Health, Dr. Shams and his team are the best.

I have nothing to say but good things about this place … doctors and counselors mean well and care. They say it the way it is. No sugar coating. Highly recommend it if you really mean to get help.

I came across Sunshine Behavioral Medicine in my internet search for a new doctor. I have been struggling with alcohol and prescription drugs for all my life despite my responsibility as a police officer.
I was told I had a mismanaged Bipolar Disorder complicated by drugs, also called a Dual Diagnosis Disorder. I have been free and clear from dark depression and drugs for over 8 months now. I cannot thank these people enough. Doctor Mosley is a good no nonsense doctor who knows her stuff well.

I came back from Iraq after 2 tours of duty shattered like a glass by PTSD as a result of of an IED. I was going down to the base twice a week and was addicted to opioids. I was placed on Suboxone at the Sunshine Behavioral Medicine and I have been in this program for the past 5 months. Staff is super and kind. I have seen a lot of doctors in the past five years but never got the personal medical attention I had at this office. They saved my on the rocks marriage. There is a sign in this office that says it all, “Medical Care Is Timeless”. I waited very little for my appointments, if ever at all, and no one was rushed when it came to me.

If you need Rehab but you want to run the show and write your own ticket, this is not the place to go… no refills on the phone and no run away prescriptions.

There is a wall full of plaques and accolade, behind every one at this place and it shows! The place is nicely appointed in Downtown Pensacola. The cozy space is clean and efficiently used. Service is very personal and outstanding.

My wife started having problems walking couple of years ago. The bone doctors gave her canes and walkers and physical therapy after she fell down and broke her hip. It turned out that she has Parkinson and Alzheimer that they found out at Sunshine Medicine Center after she was referred for her depression. Now you know the rest of the story.
